He proposes a thought experiment: even if Hezbollah had installed its candidates (Suleiman Frangieh as president and Najib Mikati as prime minister) in key positions in Lebanon by the end of 2024, such a government could not stop Israel. Israel would continue to strike Hezbollah's infrastructure and expand its military presence in southern Lebanon. Al-Hussein extends this conclusion to the entire region, asserting that the current balance of power favors the US and Israel, which are too strong for Iran and Hezbollah militarily, economically, diplomatically, and technologically. Tehran cannot prevent US strikes on its territory, and its ability to hinder Israeli actions against Hezbollah is extremely limited.
