Police arrested the main suspect in the double murder of Marwan Abu Shahin and Saada Saada in the Golan Heights, while he was carrying out another assassination attempt in Yarka. The suspect, a young man from Kiryat Shmona, was caught armed with a pistol, after Northern District detectives removed his face veil and identified him.

Police arrested the main suspect in the double murder that occurred on June 19 in Buq'ata, in which Marwan Abu Shahin (52) and Saada Saada (56) were killed. According to the suspicion, this is an assassination squad linked to a crime organization in the north, which rented a cabin in Buq'ata the day before the murder and arrived in two vehicles purchased in Usfiya. The search for the suspect ended on July 5 in Yarka, when Northern District detectives noticed a veiled person leaving a business after shooting an employee and wounding him seriously. The detectives arrested him while he was armed with a pistol, and after removing the veil he was identified as the main suspect in the double murder. Indictments will be filed against three defendants.
