Federal agents from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) have joined the South Carolina police to investigate the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of 36-year-old actress Hayden Panettiere, known for the series "Heroes" and "Nashville." An autopsy revealed no signs of violent death or physical trauma, but dispatcher records suggest a possible overdose. At the scene, law enforcement found the drug Narcan, used for opioid overdoses, on a mattress, as well as a bag of medications the actress was taking. Her boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, was present in the apartment at the time of the incident. The official cause of death will be determined after toxicology tests, which may take several weeks. The involvement of the DEA will allow for verification of the legality of obtaining and distributing the medications. The actress died on August 16, less than a week before her 37th birthday. Three years ago, her brother Jansen passed away due to cardiomegaly.
