In London, alongside culture and nightlife, the Jewish community feels like an easy target for antisemitic elements. Since October 7, antisemitic incidents have become routine. The average stands at 11 incidents per month since January 2025, including terrorist attacks. Anti-Israel protests are at a peak: in the last year and a half, the average was 25 protests per month, and in March 2026 it reached 47 pro-Palestinian protests. The peak was in May 2025 with 70 protests. Patrol members of the 'Shomrim' organization in Golders Green report five to eight calls a day, and shouts in the street of 'Heil Hitler' and 'Free Palestine'. The owner of 'Pita' restaurant in London describes spray-painting of 'Free Palestine' on a bridge and a gas balloon thrown that broke the restaurant door. The CEO of the 'Campaign Against Antisemitism' organization describes how a policeman prevented him from crossing a pro-Palestinian protest for fear of his safety, and claims that statements about peaceful marches are a lie.
