Haredi Public Party: "Reliance on Allowances Perpetuates Poverty"
Moti Leiter, chairman of the Haredi Public Party, published a subversive social platform within the Haredi sector, asserting that reliance on government allowances perpetuates poverty. Leiter calls for encouraging competition, a free market, entrepreneurship, and removing barriers, and promises to provide relevant tools and skills for the job market.
Moti Leiter, chairman of the Haredi Public Party, published his social platform this evening (Thursday), challenging the traditional perception within the Haredi sector. Leiter tweeted that "reliance on allowances and exclusive dependence on government budgets perpetuate poverty," and that "competition and a free market generate growth and freedom." According to him, the Haredi public does not need government philanthropy, but rather the provision of relevant tools and skills for the job market, encouragement of entrepreneurship, and removal of barriers. The party placed two women with advanced academic degrees on its list, a first for a Haredi party. The stance challenges the established Haredi parties.
