In recent months, Abbas has frequently expressed his appreciation for Segalovich and even expressed a desire to bring him into the party's ranks. Segalovich is considered a respected figure in Arab society, partly due to his tenure as Deputy Minister of Internal Security in the change government. At this stage, no final decision has been made. These days, Segalovich is on vacation in Thailand with his family, and he is expected to return to Israel in the middle of next week - more than a month before the deadline for submitting Knesset lists. Upon his return, decisions are expected regarding his political future and the possibility of a joint run with Ra'am.
