Hamas welcomes foreign ministers' statement and calls for obliging the occupation to the roadmap
Hamas welcomed the joint statement by the foreign ministers of the UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, which condemned the occupation government's rejection of the roadmap to implement Trump's plan. The movement called for political and diplomatic action to oblige the occupation to implement the agreement, end the suffering of the Palestinian people, and rebuild Gaza.
The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas welcomed on Monday the joint statement issued by the foreign ministers of the UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, which condemned the occupation government's rejection of the roadmap to complete the implementation of US President Donald Trump's plan. In a press statement, the movement said the statement held the occupation government responsible for obstructing efforts to end the war and achieve security and stability in the region, praising its affirmation of the need for full and immediate implementation of the roadmap. It also praised the ministers' affirmation of the continued effective role of the United States, the Peace Council, and the mediators in ensuring the implementation of the plan, preventing the occupation government from disrupting it or reneging on its commitments, and proceeding with the requirements of the second phase according to agreed arrangements and timelines. It also appreciated their position rejecting the occupation government's attempts to deny the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and to establish their independent, fully sovereign state with Jerusalem as its capital, along with the affirmation that the continuation of occupation, annexation and settlement policies, and imposing facts on the ground undermine opportunities for peace, security, and stability in the region. Hamas called for building on this position through effective political and diplomatic action, continuing pressure to oblige the occupation government to implement what has been agreed upon, ending the suffering of the Palestinian people, and commencing the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, ultimately enabling them to exercise their legitimate national rights.
