Hamas discusses with Egyptian intelligence developments in Gaza and the West Bank

Hamas leadership, headed by Khalil al-Hayya, met with Egyptian Intelligence Minister Hassan Rashad in Cairo to discuss developments in Gaza and the West Bank, Israeli violations, and the disregard for the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement and Trump's plan. The delegation included senior leaders, and the visit comes amid regional efforts to advance the ceasefire process.

Hamas leadership, headed by Political Bureau chief Khalil al-Hayya, met on Sunday with Egyptian Intelligence Minister Major General Hassan Rashad at the agency's headquarters, at the start of an official visit by the delegation to Egypt. The meeting discussed overall political and field developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, amid daily Israeli violations, disregard for the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement and the plan of US President Donald Trump, and the occupation's announcement of its rejection of the roadmap. The movement's delegation briefed the Egyptian side on developments in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and conditions inside occupation prisons, considering that Israeli policies represent a "dangerous destructive approach" that requires regional and international action to stop it. The delegation included, alongside al-Hayya, Shura Council head Muhammad Darwish, the movement's head in the external region Khaled Mashal, the movement's head in the West Bank Zaher Jabarin, head of the Arab and Islamic Relations Office Bassem Naim, and Political Bureau member Ghazi Hamad. The visit comes amid continued field and political tensions related to Gaza and the West Bank, and regional and international efforts to advance the implementation of understandings regarding the ceasefire and the post-war plan.
