Hamas calls for intensifying presence at Al-Aqsa and foiling Temple groups' plans

Hamas leader Majed Abu Qatish called on Saturday for Palestinians to intensify their presence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque to confront extremist Temple groups' attempts to impose Talmudic rituals, warning against allowing new facts on the ground that target Al-Aqsa's Islamic identity.

Hamas leader Majed Abu Qatish called on Saturday for Palestinians in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the occupied territories to intensify their presence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque to confront extremist Temple groups' attempts to impose Talmudic rituals inside the mosque. In a press statement, Abu Qatish said that increasing Palestinian presence at Al-Aqsa is a crucial step to thwart occupation and settler plans to make incursions and Talmudic rituals a routine sight. He warned against allowing Temple groups to impose new facts at Al-Aqsa, stressing that such actions target its Islamic status and pave the way for further Judaization and partition attempts. Abu Qatish emphasized the need for popular support for Jerusalem and its people, stating that protecting Al-Aqsa is a Palestinian, Arab, and Islamic responsibility, and that leniency with occupation plans gives them more room to proceed. He also called on Arab and Islamic nations and peoples to fulfill their responsibilities towards Al-Aqsa and Jerusalem, and to act on political, popular, and media levels to stop what he described as accelerated Israeli attempts to Judaize the holy city.
