Government Media Office Calls on National Committee to Begin Its Duties to Address Humanitarian Catastrophe

He also noted the readiness of government teams to work under the committee's leadership, as part of unifying efforts.

The Director General of the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip, Dr. Ismail al-Thawabta, called on the National Committee for Managing Gaza to immediately begin performing its duties and assume its administrative and service responsibilities, in press statements on Wednesday. Al-Thawabta stressed that the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip can no longer tolerate further delay, considering that the committee bears a national and legal responsibility that requires urgent field presence. He explained that government entities have for months announced their full welcome of the committee and expressed readiness to work under its administrative umbrella to unify efforts. He pointed out that government teams are fully ready to work under the committee's leadership and harness capabilities to ensure the continuation of essential services. This comes at a time when the humanitarian crisis in the Strip is worsening, with increasing calls from factions and clans for the committee to begin its tasks.
