Government Media Office: 1,252 Martyrs in 4,000 Ceasefire Violations

The Director of the Government Media Office in Gaza, Ismail al-Thawabta, announced the documentation of more than 4,000 Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, resulting in the martyrdom of over 1,252 Palestinians and the injury of more than 4,120 others. The violations included ground, air, and sea attacks, as well as targeting of residential neighborhoods and shelter centers. Al-Thawabta described these violations as war crimes, holding the occupation and the US administration responsible.

The Director General of the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip, Ismail al-Thawabta, announced the documentation of more than 4,000 Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, including ground, air, and sea attacks, and direct targeting of residential neighborhoods and shelter centers. He explained that these violations resulted in the martyrdom of more than 1,252 Palestinians, most of them children, women, and civilians, and the injury of more than 4,120 people with varying wounds, increasing pressure on the health system in Gaza. Al-Thawabta affirmed that the occupation army continues to commit "systematic and serious" violations since its first moments, considering that these violations represent a challenge to international humanitarian law and UN resolutions. He described these violations as "war crimes and crimes against humanity," calling on the international community, the Security Council, and human rights organizations to take practical steps beyond statements of condemnation. Al-Thawabta also held the Israeli occupation and the US administration responsible for the repercussions of the continued escalation, stressing that this does not affect the steadfastness and resilience of the Palestinian people. These statements come amid the continuation of military operations and the deterioration of humanitarian conditions in the Strip.
