Golan warned of possible war with Turkey - in "Likud" they responded

Yair Golan, leader of the "Democrats" party, warned that the recent IDF attack on an airbase in Syria could provoke a war with Turkey. He criticized Prime Minister Netanyahu for using military force for political reasons. In response, the "Likud" party accused Golan of supporting the creation of a Palestinian state and being willing to accept increased Turkish presence in Syria.

Yair Golan, leader of the "Democrats" party, issued a warning about a possible war with Turkey following a recent Israeli Air Force attack on an airbase in Syria. In his view, this strike is a signal to the Turkish military and part of a dangerous process that brings Israel closer to a confrontation with Turkey and deepens the rift with the United States. Golan stated that military force is again being used for political reasons, and the actions of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu demonstrate his unpredictability and unreliability. The politician believes that such a course undermines trust in Israel and complicates relations with allies. In response, the "Likud" party accused Golan of supporting the creation of a Palestinian state and being willing to accept the strengthening of Turkish military presence in Syria, which, according to them, Netanyahu is actively opposing. "Likud" also suggested that Golan, in the event of a change of government, could become Minister of Defense in a coalition of Eisenkot, Lieberman, and Mansour Abbas.
