Givat Harel resident headlines BBC: 'If an Israeli is killed, kill all Palestinians in 4 villages'
Shimon Yehuda, a resident of Givat Harel and a lawyer for the Honenu organization, told the BBC that if an Israeli is killed, all residents of the villages of Tel, al-Sura, Jit, and Far'ata should be killed. He added that the life of one Jew is worth ten million Palestinians, and that God chose the Jewish people. His remarks were prominently featured on the British network's website, following last week's deadly incident in the village of Tel.
Shimon Yehuda, a resident of Givat Harel and a lawyer for the Honenu organization, told the British BBC in an article published today (Saturday) prominently that "after they killed one Israeli, we need to kill all the residents in the villages of Tel, al-Sura, Jit, and Far'ata." When reporter Lucy Williamson told him that he was comparing the life of one Jew to the lives of thousands of Palestinians, he corrected her: "No. To millions. The life of one Jew – that's ten million (Palestinians)." When she told him it was a racist statement, he replied: "Yes, I know. But it's the truth, because God chose us, and that's why you are jealous." The article dealt with the deadly incident in the village of Tel last Friday, in which a weapon was stolen, Binyahu Melat, a member of the Givat Harel emergency squad, was murdered, and Maj. Yuval Ezra and four Palestinian residents of the village were killed. Yehuda justified the riots carried out by settlers afterwards, saying that international law is irrelevant because the Bible grants Jews the right to live in Judea and Samaria. He criticized the government and the IDF, which he claims do not sufficiently support Jewish claims to the land, saying: "The government and the IDF are like the UN... they don't kill the Palestinians, they just separate people." The article noted that according to OCHA data, 18 Palestinians have been killed in clashes with settlers since the beginning of 2026, at least 12 of them directly by settlers. It also reported on settler violence over the weekend: an elderly couple was beaten near Ramallah, and footage showed masked settlers setting fire to a car in Surif.
