Gidi Gov and Muni Moshonov, pillars of Israeli culture, are preparing for a festive performance of "Zehu Ze!" at the Hutzot Hayotzer Festival in Jerusalem. The show will take place on August 4 at the Sultan's Pool, on Gov's 76th birthday, and will feature the band "Hatikva 6" sharing the stage. In an interview on Kan News' "Bachatzi Hayom Hashishi," the two addressed the political situation: "The survival of politicians is an unpleasant and uncomfortable thing, and they stop at nothing," said Moshonov. The comeback of "Zehu Ze!," which began during the COVID-19 pandemic and continued into the war, surprised them with the strength of the public embrace. "Everything is surprising," said Moshonov, noting the intergenerational connection through songs, especially the performance of "Shir LeShira" by Yehonatan Geffen and Corinne Allal. Gov added that working on the songs turned them into a band: "We did about 200 songs and eventually in recent years we became a band. It's live and it really fills us with joy and happiness." He mentioned "Tzel Eitz Tamar" as a song that particularly moved him. The two recalled moving collaborations with artists who have passed away, including Corinne Allal, who performed "Antarctica" with them shortly before her death. Moshonov shared a memory from the Yom Kippur War, when he performed with Matti Caspi in Sinai. Alongside nostalgia, they enjoy collaborations with the younger generation, such as singer Nunu. Gov announced that the group is expected to return to the screen in early November: "We'll start after the elections to put on dresses and wigs and put on makeup again."
