Israeli company Gett has announced the launch of a new service that will allow Israeli users to order rides abroad through their familiar app. The service works thanks to technological cooperation with HQ and aims to save travelers from having to download local apps or create new accounts. The cost of the ride will be displayed in shekels, and payment will be made using an already saved payment method. Customer support will be available in Hebrew. At launch, the service is available in more than 25 countries, including the US, France, Italy, Greece, Germany, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. The company plans to expand it to more than 70 countries in the future. The technological foundation is the HQ Extend integration, which connects local providers and fleets in more than 1,000 cities. In the first phase, communication with the driver will be by phone, with internet calls added later. The launch is part of Gett's strategy to turn the app into a broader transportation platform.
