The National Gathering of Gaza Scholars, Preachers and Intellectuals issued a statement on Tuesday warning of manifestations of chaos and societal violence in the Strip, calling for the protection of lives, safeguarding civil peace, and strengthening societal unity in the face of the repercussions of the Israeli aggression. The Gathering affirmed that the current phase, amid the destruction, displacement, and constricted livelihoods left by the war of extermination, requires maintaining the internal front, prioritizing the language of reason and wisdom, and closing all doors to chaos, sedition, and partisanship. The statement praised the commitment of the Palestinian people, their families, clans, notables, and reformers to preserving civil peace and containing disputes, warning of the danger of quarrels and conflicts, especially when weapons are used or family mobilization is employed, noting that a limited dispute could turn into bloodshed, grudges, and vendettas. The Gathering stressed the sanctity of blood, affirming that directing weapons in internal disputes threatens citizens' lives and undermines civil peace. It affirmed that the Israeli occupation is the primary beneficiary of any internal chaos, calling on families, clans, notables, mukhtars, and reformers to redouble their efforts to contain disputes, and urging scholars, preachers, preachers, and elites to intensify the discourse of reform and awareness of the sanctity of blood and the danger of partisanship and violence.
