Gaza Police Chief: We Will Not Leave the Field, and Our Alliance with Community Leaders Prevented the Collapse of Civil Peace

The Director of Gaza Police, Colonel Jamal Abu Kamil, affirmed that the police will not leave the field despite the Israeli occupation's targeting, noting that their alliance with community leaders prevented the collapse of civil peace. He revealed that more than 1,700 police personnel have been martyred and over 3,000 others injured since the beginning of the war, stressing that the crime rate did not exceed 2% despite the difficult conditions.

The Director of Gaza Police, Colonel Jamal Abu Kamil, during the "Nabd Ghaza" meeting organized by the newspaper "Palestine," affirmed that the police will not leave the field despite the deliberate Israeli targeting, noting that their alliance with community leaders and mukhtars prevented the collapse of civil peace. He revealed that more than 1,700 police personnel have been martyred and over 3,000 others injured since the beginning of the war, stressing that the occupation completely destroyed all police stations in the Strip. He explained that the police relied on a "community alliance" as an alternative plan to maintain security, and that the crime rate did not exceed 2% despite the economic conditions and famine. He also spoke about pursuing "war merchants and monopolists" in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, reactivating traffic police and municipal work, and activating prisons in alternative locations. He sent multiple messages, including the police's readiness to cooperate with the Gaza Management Committee, and called on groups linked to the occupation to return, stressing that the security system still operates with a firm national doctrine.
