Gaza Management Committee Warns: Occupation Violations Undermine Calm

The National Committee for Managing Gaza expressed, on Tuesday, its deep concern and strong condemnation of the continued Israeli attacks against citizens in the Gaza Strip, warning that ongoing violations undermine the calm and threaten the ceasefire agreement. In a press statement, the committee said that the continuation of these attacks represents a serious escalation that undermines efforts to consolidate the calm and complete the stages of the agreement, stressing that full commitment to the agreement is a duty that cannot be diminished or reinterpreted. It noted that the occupation's continued targeting of civilians and health and service facilities directly constitutes a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and a breach of international humanitarian law. It stressed that continued Israeli violations threaten the chances of achieving sustainable stability and compound the humanitarian suffering of innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip. The National Committee called on the international community, the United Nations, sponsoring countries, and mediators to assume their legal and humanitarian responsibilities and intervene immediately by taking practical steps to compel the occupation to stop its aggression and fulfill all its obligations.
