Gaza Interior Ministry: The Occupation Targets the Police to Spread Chaos

The Ministry of Interior and National Security in Gaza accuses the Israeli occupation of seeking to eliminate the police force and spread chaos within Palestinian society, following the targeting of the Municipal Police headquarters in Gaza Governorate by occupation aircraft, resulting in a number of martyrs and wounded. The ministry described the incident as a "new brutal massacre" and denied Israeli claims justifying the targeting, appealing to mediators and the international community to urgently intervene to stop the escalation.

The Ministry of Interior and National Security in Gaza accused the Israeli occupation of seeking to eliminate the police force and spread chaos within Palestinian society, following the targeting of the Municipal Police headquarters in Gaza Governorate by occupation aircraft, resulting in a number of martyrs and wounded. The ministry stated in press remarks on Wednesday that the occupation committed a "new brutal massacre" against officers and members of the civil police force in Gaza City, asserting that the claims made by the occupation to justify targeting the force "are baseless." The ministry appealed to mediators and the international community to urgently intervene to stop the Israeli escalation and targeting of the police force, warning of continued attacks on its members and institutions. It added that international silence regarding the ongoing targeting of the police force, and the lack of effective action by mediators, have encouraged the occupation to continue targeting police members and committing more massacres.
