Trump's Peace Council published today (Friday) the outline for disarming Hamas in Gaza, following the American president's declaration that Hamas agreed to disarm. According to the outline, disarmament will be completed through the implementation of articles 7, 8, and 9 of the agreement, dealing with police weapons, heavy weapons, tunnels, production sites, and personal weapons. At the end of the process, which will last months, the only body holding weapons in the Strip will be the technocratic committee, under the supervision of the ISF, commanded by American General Jasper Jeffers. The weapons will be decommissioned and moved to a place out of Hamas's reach. The central principle: no Israeli withdrawal before actual disarmament and cessation of all military activity. On the other hand, Hamas published an official statement declaring that implementation of the outline is conditional on Israeli withdrawal, cessation of aggression, entry of the administrative committee, deployment of international forces, reconstruction, and ensuring the right to establish a Palestinian state.
