Gadi Eisenkot Assesses Iran's Nuclear Threat (VIDEO)

Former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot stated that Israel's primary goal is to eliminate Iran's enriched uranium stockpile (about 440 kg). He warned that Tehran could further enrich the fuel to weapons-grade level within three weeks using 250–300 centrifuges. Eisenkot also emphasized that Hamas must not remain in power in Gaza.

Former Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces Gadi Eisenkot gave an interview in which he assessed the nuclear threat from Iran. According to him, Israel's main security goal is to eliminate Tehran's enriched uranium stockpile—about 440 kilograms. Eisenkot stressed that Iran can further enrich uranium from 60% to weapons-grade 90% in just three weeks using 250–300 centrifuges. He called this a central challenge for Israel that must be addressed together with the United States, and noted that despite military achievements, there has been no progress in this direction. The former chief of staff also stated that if negotiations fail, Israel must use its full military power to destroy Hamas's military capabilities, and that the group must under no circumstances retain control over the Gaza Strip.
