Fuel Prices in Israel Change Sharply — New Cost from Today

As of midnight on August 2, 2026, gasoline prices in Israel have risen: a liter of 95-octane at self-service increased by 61 agorot to 8.09 shekels, and in Eilat by 51 agorot to 6.85 shekels. The surcharge for full service remains unchanged. Prices were updated by the Fuel and Gas Authority.

As of midnight on August 2, 2026, gasoline prices in Israel have risen. The Fuel and Gas Authority at the Ministry of Energy reported that the maximum price per liter of unleaded 95-octane gasoline at self-service (including VAT) increased by 61 agorot to 8.09 shekels. In Eilat, where VAT is not levied, the price rose by 51 agorot to 6.85 shekels. The surcharge for full service remains unchanged: 25 agorot nationwide and 21 agorot in Eilat. Prices are updated monthly according to a formula that takes into account average prices in the Mediterranean basin over five trading days, as well as marketing costs, excise duty, and VAT. The conversion rate is the latest representative rate of the Bank of Israel. The increase follows a July decrease, making it particularly noticeable for drivers.
