Fuel price to rise by 61 agorot per liter to 8.09 shekels in August

The increase is due to a sharp rise of about 22% in global gasoline prices, against the backdrop of rising oil prices and concerns over disruptions to oil supply and stability of the global energy market. The strengthening of the dollar by about 1.9% also contributed to the price increase. Bat Sheva Avuhazira, director of the Fuel and Gas Administration, stated that after an increase of 1.03 shekels per liter in April and an additional increase of 2 agorot in May, June and July saw a cumulative decrease of 59 agorot per liter. Now, following developments in the global energy market, fuel prices are rising again.
