From Australian judge to Israeli tour guide: David Parry's aliyah journey

Retired Australian District Court judge David Parry made aliyah from Perth to Zichron Ya'acov with his wife Sharon, leaving a tenured position 15 years early. He now works as a licensed tour guide after completing a course at the University of Haifa School of Tourism, partnering with Israel Maven Tours to offer guided packages for English-speaking immigrants. Sharon, who holds a doctorate in physiotherapy and was an adjunct professor, could not convert her Australian degree due to Health Ministry requirements and instead launched MoveWiseActive.com, offering workplace wellness and fall-prevention workshops. All four of their children also made aliyah. The Parrys describe their move as fulfilling a lifelong mission and express gratitude for living in Israel according to Jewish time.
