French cosmetics and perfume chain Sephora is preparing for its official debut in the Israeli market. The project launch will begin on August 20 with the support of local partner Glam 42. In the first phase, three stores will open in major shopping centers: Tel Aviv's Azrieli, Ramat Gan's Ayalon, and Jerusalem's Malha. Following this, the company intends to open three more full-fledged outlets and integrate five branded Sephora corners into existing Glam 42 stores. The brand's management is approaching the entry into the new region with caution, viewing the start as an experimental test of consumer demand. Therefore, Israeli branches will not initially feature the rich multi-brand selection typical of European boutiques. The entire assortment at launch will be limited exclusively to products of the private label Sephora Collection. The company has allocated exactly 6 months for this pilot period, after which management will decide on the feasibility of large-scale investments and expansion of the product line. The brand's history began in 1970 in the French city of Limoges, after which the headquarters moved to Paris. The company's global catalog includes over 300 well-known brands. Since 1997, the brand has been managed by the transnational luxury conglomerate LVMH.
