Four months after being accidentally killed by IDF fire, Ofer (Pushko) Moskovich, one of the symbols of agricultural settlement in the Upper Galilee, will be brought today (Thursday) for permanent burial at Kibbutz Misgav Am. Moskovich was killed in March after artillery soldiers of the 282nd Fire Brigade of the 36th Division fired five shells at targets in southern Lebanon. He went out with his vehicle to tend to his avocado orchard, was directly hit, and killed on the spot. Because Kibbutz Misgav Am was under constant fire attacks, it was decided to temporarily bury him at Kibbutz Amiad. Today in the afternoon he will be brought for burial in the soil of Misgav Am. Many residents of the Galilee, as well as past and present military top brass, are expected to attend the funeral. In an interview he gave to Maariv on the holiday of Shavuot, the late Moskovich said that even after the evacuation of the settlement with the outbreak of the war, he refused to disconnect from the orchards and continued to come to them daily, sometimes by sneaking in.
