Founder of Michal Sela Forum, Lily Ben Ami, Joins Yisrael Beiteinu

Yisrael Beiteinu announced that Lily Ben Ami, founder of the Michal Sela Forum, is joining the party. Ben Ami, who established the forum after her sister's murder in 2019, cited support for Lieberman as her reason. She is a sought-after lecturer, served as a national explainer, and spoke at the UN. She previously served as an elected official and worked in education.

The Yisrael Beiteinu party announced this morning that Lily Ben Ami, founder of the Michal Sela Forum, is joining its ranks. Ben Ami explained the move with praise for party chairman Avigdor Lieberman, describing him as a strong leader with experience, courage, and proven ability to execute. Ben Ami opened the forum following the murder of her sister in 2019, and since then has become a sought-after lecturer in Israel and abroad, served as a national explainer with the outbreak of the Swords of Iron war, and spoke at the UN. She has a political background: she served ten years as an elected official and headed a municipal faction in the Mateh Yehuda Council. In addition, she founded a network of daycare centers at universities, the Coalition for Direct Employment in Education, and a leadership center of WIZO Jerusalem. For her work, she has received awards, including Forbes PowerWomen ranking and the Rappaport Prize. She lives in Moshav Beit Zayit, is married, and has three sons.
