Former PA official: Kushner promised Israel will stop strikes in Gaza from tomorrow

Former Fatah official Mohammed Dahlan claimed tonight that Israel is expected to stop strikes and targeted killings in the Gaza Strip starting this morning, based on a promise he received from Jared Kushner. Dahlan made the remarks after Hamas and Palestinian factions agreed to a 15-point roadmap for continuing the implementation of the peace plan in Gaza. According to him, Kushner confirmed that he had reached an agreement with the Israeli side on halting strikes, while talks with the Americans continue to ensure the implementation of the agreement. Dahlan called on all factions to commit to the agreement in full and to stop armed demonstrations. Meanwhile, according to Palestinian reports, two people were killed in a strike in the Deir al-Balah area. Hamas set conditions for continuing the second phase, including a halt to strikes, withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and the entry of a committee to manage the Strip. The roadmap includes the decommissioning of heavy weapons and tunnels, and a phased Israeli withdrawal according to an agreed timetable. Dahlan, a former head of the Preventive Security Force in Gaza, resides in Abu Dhabi.
