Kleiner, who has been in bankruptcy proceedings since 2012, is suspected of hiding rights in various real estate properties worth tens of millions of shekels and smuggling assets under his control, while violating his duty to report his assets. The National Unit for Economic Crime Investigations (YALAK) in Lahav 433, together with the National Unit for Investigations in the Official Receiver's Office, detained him on Monday for questioning. Police stated that the suspects acted in a sophisticated and systematic manner to hide rights and amass huge sums. With the transition to an open investigation, much property was seized for confiscation.
