Former minister and MK Elazar Stern joins Eisenkot

Former minister and MK, Maj. Gen. (res.) Elazar Stern, joins the Yashar! party led by Gadi Eisenkot. Stern, with over a decade of political experience, served as Minister of Intelligence, Chairman of the State Control Committee, and member of key committees. Party chairman Gadi Eisenkot welcomed his joining, noting his rich experience and his struggle for universal service and statesmanship.

Former minister and MK, Maj. Gen. (res.) Elazar Stern, joins the Yashar! party led by Gadi Eisenkot. Stern, who wears a kippah, brings with him over a decade of political, governmental, and parliamentary experience: he was elected to the Knesset in 2013, served as Minister of Intelligence, Chairman of the State Control Committee, and member of the Foreign Affairs and Defense, Constitution, and Finance committees. Before entering politics, he served in the IDF at the rank of Major General, including as Head of the Manpower Directorate and Chief Education Officer, and led initiatives such as the military conversion program "Netiv" and "Witnesses in Uniform." Party chairman Gadi Eisenkot said that Stern "dedicated decades to Israel's security and public service" and represents "religious Zionist statesmanship." Stern joins a series of senior figures who have joined the party, including former Shin Bet chief Yoram Cohen, economist Shaul Meridor, and former ministers Matan Kahana and Orit Farkash-Hacohen. Stern said upon joining: "I want to live in a country where everyone feels proud to be Jewish, and in the same breath to always remember the principle of 'beloved is man who was created in the image.'"
