For the second time in a month: Vandals smash entrance door of News 12 studio

The entrance doors of the News 12 studio building in Tel Aviv were smashed tonight for the second time in less than a month. The blood of News 12 journalists is not free. The Israeli government and the Communications Minister must stop the inciting and unrestrained attacks on the free press, which also lead to serious acts." Political figures condemned the incident. Yashar party chairman and former Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot said: "Freedom of the press is a condition for the existence of a true democracy, especially during an election period. Responsibility for violence against media outlets lies with the government. The Israeli government is conducting a systematic and unrestrained incitement campaign against journalists and media organizations, marking them as enemies, and now maintains a deafening silence in the face of the results on the ground." Yisrael Beiteinu chairman, MK Avigdor Lieberman, added: "I strongly condemn the criminal act tonight at the News 12 studio. The fact that this is already the second time within a month that a news studio in Israel faces such an act is extremely serious." Democrats chairman Yair Golan: "To win the elections, Netanyahu needs to incite. That has always been his method. To divide, mark enemies, and scare. Only relentless incitement against those who think differently, he believes, will allow him to cling to power."
