In the party's announcement, it was stated that the convention is part of completing organizational preparations and meets constitutional requirements. It was further stated that the move is intended to strengthen the party's institutions, expand its ranks, and deepen its public presence in Arab society. The party emphasized that this is essential in light of "the unprecedented racist policies and practices of the Netanyahu-Ben Gvir-Smotrich government." Ra'am aims to topple the government and replace it with a new government in which it will be a partner.
