An American official who spoke anonymously with the New York Times detailed the results of the night operation. According to him, the targeted sites were deliberately chosen because they served as a central hub for Iranian advisor activity. The dual goal was to harm professional personnel as well as missile and drone launch capabilities. Among the dead were technical experts who participated in directing and operating the systems. US Central Command officially confirmed that forces struck militia logistics and weapons targets in the eastern part of the country. The military step was carried out in response to more than 30 drone attacks directed by the Revolutionary Guard against American forces and Saudi energy infrastructure. The US administration made clear it would not hesitate to act again and issued a warning of a harsher military response if the firing continues.
