Following Edelstein and Ilouz's departure: Channel 14 panelist Erez Tadmor on his way to the Knesset

After Dan Ilouz and Yuli Edelstein left the Likud, two party members who have not yet served in the Knesset are expected to take their places: Shabtai Katesh, the first Haredi representative in Likud, and media personality Erez Tadmor. MK Avichai Boaron demands that the defectors also resign from the Knesset, and threatens to convene the faction. Yoav Segalovich also announced his resignation, and Michal Kavaba Salmani will replace him.

Following the departure of Dan Ilouz and Yuli Edelstein from the Likud, two party members who have not yet served in the Knesset are expected to take their places. The first is Shabtai Katesh, the first Haredi representative in Likud, who is running in the upcoming primaries for the position of chairman of the Shfela and Jerusalem district. The second is media personality and Channel 14 panelist Erez Tadmor, who is running for a spot on the Likud list for the 26th Knesset. Tzachi Hanegbi, who was head of the National Security Council, was ahead of Tadmor on the list but resigned following his appointment to the position. The two are expected to enter the Knesset already in the current Knesset, thereby gaining a foothold ahead of the race for the list for the next Knesset. MK Avichai Boaron demanded that the defectors also announce their resignation from their positions as Knesset members, and threatened: "If Ilouz and Edelstein do not resign within the next 24 hours, I will act to convene the Likud faction in order to advance a process of declaring them defectors." He accused them of acting "immorally" and "ugly" in a way that harms right-wing voters. In addition, MK Yoav Segalovich announced his resignation from the Knesset against the backdrop of the talks with Mansour Abbas and the Ra'am party, and Michal Kavaba Salmani will replace him.
