A 19-year-old scooter rider, a resident of Nazareth, was arrested after attempting to flee from police during an operation by the Northern District motorcycle unit in the city. The officers noticed a scooter moving with its license plate folded, blocked its path, and stopped it. A search of the vehicle revealed two loaded guns, a Colt and an FN, hidden under the driver's seat. The prosecution, through attorney Amit Perla, filed an indictment against the young man and requested that he remain in custody until the end of proceedings at the District Court in Nof HaGalil-Nazareth. Police reported that since the beginning of the year, more than 580 weapons have been seized in the Northern District as part of the fight against violent crime.
