This morning (Wednesday), masked gunmen armed with long guns threatened Israel Electric Corporation workers who arrived to repair a fault in Tel Sheva, after a transformer was shot and damaged overnight. This was reported to Walla. According to the Israel Electric Corporation, at 2:45 a.m. a report was received of gunfire at a transformer in Tel Sheva. As a result of the shooting, damage was caused to the transformer and the electricity network in the area. This morning, company crews arrived at the scene to carry out repair work, but according to them, upon entering the neighborhood they encountered masked gunmen armed with long guns, who approached them and threatened them. The Israel Electric Corporation stated that in light of the real threat to the safety of the workers, the crews stopped handling the fault and left the scene without completing the repair. At this stage, it is unclear when the company's crews will be able to return to the site and resume work.
