Investigators from the Youth Department of the Eilat District Police have completed an investigation into a severe violence incident that occurred earlier this month in Eilat. According to the suspicion, four minors attacked another minor in one of the city's public parks. The investigation revealed that there was prior acquaintance between the parties. The suspects asked the victim to accompany them, and when they noticed cameras in the park area, they moved to a nearby alley. There they confronted her, claiming she had caused damage to one of their mobile phones. Subsequently, they pushed her into the bushes, and while she was lying on the ground, they beat her with fists and slaps and pulled her hair. One of the suspects took the victim's phone to prevent her from escaping. A passerby who tried to separate the minors failed, and another passerby called the police. At this point, one of the suspects threatened the victim: "If we are arrested by the police, you will die today," spat at her, and left. The victim sustained bruises on her body. Two of the suspects were located and questioned within hours. The other two tried to flee and were caught in another city the next day. One of them was under house arrest in another case and violated its conditions. Upon completion of the investigation, the Eilat police prosecution filed indictments against two of the involved parties with a request for their detention until the end of proceedings.
