A 27-year-old resident of Netanya, known to the police from previous cases of theft, burglary, drugs, and assault, was arrested on suspicion of playing a central role in the theft of weapons from the Shayetet 13 base in Atlit. Investigators from the Coastal District Central Unit arrested him, and his last arrest occurred only about a month ago. The suspect provided his account, but police claim it does not align with the evidence in the case and even strengthens the suspicion against him. The stolen weapons, three M4 rifles, were located. This is the fourth arrest in the case, and the investigation continues. The case also includes a regular soldier in the Nahal Brigade arrested on suspicion of stealing weapons and trading with criminal elements, and two other civilians, residents of Netanya, whose detention was extended.
