First Publication: Bereaved Father Joins Noam Party

Eliyahu Libman, father of Elikim Libman who was murdered in the Nova massacre, joins the Noam party list alongside MK Avi Maoz. The move comes as part of expanding the list ahead of the elections, following an emergency conference of the party led by Rabbi Tzvi Israel Tau.

Eliyahu Libman, father of the late Elikim Libman who was murdered in the October 7 massacre at the Nova party, joins the Noam party list alongside party chairman MK Avi Maoz. Libman, a reserve lieutenant colonel and former head of the Kiryat Arba council, is one of the leaders of the Tikva Forum of hostage families. For over seven months his son Elikim was defined as a hostage, until May 2024 when it became clear he was murdered on the day of the massacre and his body was located in Israel. The move comes a day after a large-scale emergency gathering of the party led by Rabbi Tzvi Israel Tau, attended by over a hundred city rabbis and yeshiva heads. The conference presented the party's campaign plan, with an emphasis on the education system and strengthening religious state education. Libman will be placed on the list alongside Maoz, and the party notes that this is one of a series of new candidates and connections that will be revealed in the coming period.
