Following the primaries held yesterday (Sunday) in the Religious Zionist Party, the party is already busy trying to balance the list ahead of the elections. Walla has learned that the main target for addition is Sderot Mayor Alon Davidi. The party identifies that the primary results created a list with a distinctly settlement-oriented character, with broad representation for settlers in Judea and Samaria, but one that less reflects the mainstream of religious Zionism. Party chairman Bezalel Smotrich is expected to invest significant efforts in the coming weeks to persuade Davidi to join the list, while considering a high slot. 170 out of 173 eligible voters participated in the primaries; Orit Strock was elected first, Simcha Rothman second, and Zvi Sukkot third. Smotrich welcomed the results and mentioned expected reserved slots.
