A fire broke out this morning (Thursday) at the Spiral complex in Eilat, during peak hours in the hotel and tourism area. Six people were lightly injured and evacuated for medical treatment. Firefighters from the Eilat regional station spotted thick black smoke on their way to the scene, and upon arrival noticed a fire that had broken out in an area used for storing air conditioners for nearby shops. As a result of the fire, heavy smoke entered the shops. The firefighters worked to extinguish the fire, conducted searches in the complex, and worked to clear the smoke. A fire investigator from the Fire and Rescue Service arrived at the scene and opened an investigation into the circumstances of the fire. The Israel Fire and Rescue Services asked the public to remain vigilant when emergency forces are passing and to clear the route.
