Protesters tried to break through police barriers, and clashes were reported with residents and activists of the 'Hitorerut' movement who came to support the owner. The protest saw the largest number of participants since the demonstrations began, after Breslov Hasidim announced their joining. Deputy Mayor Adir Schwartz condemned the violence and demanded that the police arrest the rioters. MK Avigdor Liberman, who arrived at the scene, was subjected to racist chants, and stated that the vandalism proves that the protesters should direct their energy against Hamas and Hezbollah. Chairman of the Democrats faction, Yair Golan, stated that violence or religious coercion will not be tolerated. In recent weeks, hundreds of Haredim have besieged the café, overturned chairs, banged on windows, and spat at its patrons.
