Nissim Louk, father of Shani Louk who was brutally murdered on October 7 and whose body was taken to Gaza, confronted Transportation Minister Miri Regev during her visit to the Mahane Yehuda market in Jerusalem with her campaign vehicle for the Likud primaries. In a video published by Yair Ansbacher, the father, wearing a shirt of the 'Orot HaShachar' party, is seen shouting at Regev: 'You caused October 7. Shame on you, Likud. My daughter Shani Louk was murdered because of you. Shame on you. 3,000 murdered because of you, keep smiling.' The minister turned her back and continued posing with supporters, then entered her campaign vehicle. Louk continued to claim that Likud funded Hamas, and Regev's supporters responded with mutual accusations, including that Louk himself funded Hamas. Louk was furious over the 'Peace Council' agreement with Hamas and claimed that Netanyahu, Smotrich, Ben Gvir, Strook, Sa'ar, and Levin passed a law to transfer the Gaza Strip to the Muslim Brotherhood. The confrontation reflects the political tension around the Likud primaries and the family pain of bereavement.
