The Tax Authority arrested Dudu Ohana, a resident of Rehovot, on suspicion of distributing fictitious invoices and evading investigation. The arrest was carried out last Thursday in a suite at a hotel in Hadera, where he stayed away from his residence and managed shell companies. During the search, computers, mobile phones, and lawyer stamps used to sign forged documents were seized. Ohana's son is suspected of attempting to obstruct the investigation by burning documents and stamps on a grill and using a garden hose. The son was arrested and released under restrictive conditions. The Be'er Sheva Magistrate's Court extended Ohana's detention until August 13. The operation was carried out by the Be'er Sheva Customs and VAT Investigation Unit and the Tax Authority Intelligence Unit, with the assistance of Hadera police officers.
