Fatal head-on collision south of Beit Shemesh: two killed, woman moderately injured

Two men in their 40s were killed overnight in a head-on collision between two private vehicles on Route 383 south of Beit Shemesh. A woman in her 40s was moderately injured and evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center. MDA teams pronounced the two men dead at the scene. Police closed the road and opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.

Two men in their 40s were killed overnight (between Tuesday and Wednesday) in a head-on collision between two private vehicles on Route 383, near Moshav Zecharia south of Beit Shemesh. A woman in her 40s was moderately injured in the accident, and MDA teams who arrived at the scene provided her medical treatment and evacuated her to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem. MDA paramedic Tzuriel Meirs, senior MDA medic Yehoshua Gutlib, and MDA medic Shmuel Arieli said they saw a man lying on the side of the road unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing, and another man trapped in his vehicle, also unconscious. They performed medical checks but pronounced them dead. A police force arrived at the scene, and from an initial investigation it appears to have been a head-on collision. The forces closed the road and began investigating the circumstances of the accident.
