Fatal car accident in Sharon: 18-year-old killed, another young man seriously injured

An 18-year-old was killed today (Monday) in a fatal car accident between a private vehicle and a bus on Highway 5504, near Nir Eliyahu in the Sharon region. Rescue and firefighting teams worked to extract him from the vehicle using hydraulic tools, after which medical teams were forced to pronounce his death. Another young man, also 18, was seriously injured in the accident with head and limb injuries, and the bus driver was in mild condition. Medics and paramedics from Magen David Adom provided medical treatment and evacuated the injured to Meir Hospital. MDA paramedic Noam Turm and medic Avichai Pinchasi said the young man was unconscious and trapped in his vehicle, and despite rescue efforts, his death was determined.
