Explosion in Kiryat Ono: Charges Filed Against Two Bat Yam Residents

The prosecution has filed charges against two Bat Yam residents—22-year-old Netanel Abudi and 18-year-old Nehoray Habaz—for throwing a grenade at the Japanika restaurant in Kiryat Ono. The incident occurred in mid-July at night. Charges include intentional assault, property damage, and illegal weapons possession. Abudi is also charged with obstructing the investigation.

The prosecution has submitted an indictment to the Tel Aviv District Court against 22-year-old Netanel Abudi and 18-year-old Nehoray Habaz from Bat Yam. They are accused of throwing a grenade toward a branch of the Japanika restaurant chain in Kiryat Ono. According to the investigation, in mid-July the defendants arrived at the restaurant at night, when one employee was inside and two others were near the entrance. They threw the grenade several times until it exploded, then fled. The charges include aggravated intentional assault, property damage by explosive, and possession and transportation of weapons. Additionally, Abudi is charged with attempting to obstruct the investigation.
