A Ukrainian civilian was seriously injured after being attacked by a Russian explosive drone in the city of Kherson in southern Ukraine. This was announced today (Tuesday) by the Ukrainian National Police. In footage published on social media, a vegetable merchant at a food market in the city is seen trying to flee from the drone, which circles around his commercial vehicle, swoops down on him quickly, and explodes. According to the police report, the man was very seriously injured and suffers from severe physical trauma, concussion, shrapnel wounds, and fractures in his limbs. He was taken for medical treatment and his condition is serious but stable. The incident occurred in the Tavriyskyi district, in the northern part of the city, which before the war had a population of more than one hundred thousand. This area continues to maintain a certain degree of civilian life. Yesterday, Russia attacked two high-rise residential buildings in the city with glide bombs, and at least one person was killed. Kherson was liberated from the Russian army in 2023, and since then the Russian military has been indiscriminately bombing the city in hopes of forcing its abandonment.
