The operation was carried out under heavy security in the heart of the Palestinian village of Tel. Yahalom unit fighters rigged the apartment with explosives, and after dawn the charge was detonated. The demolition was surgical and targeted only the apartment of the terrorist Farouk Ramadan, so the damage appeared limited. Major G., commander of the Yael patrol company in Yahalom, claims that the demolition is still a deterrent. The policy of demolishing terrorists' homes enjoys high support in the security establishment. After the attack, several new Israeli outposts were established in Samaria, but tonight the Civil Administration demolished most of them. Major Y., an officer of the Combat Engineering Corps, emphasizes that further actions will be taken to change the layout near the attack scene.
