During Channel 14's Security Conference, Brig. Gen. (res.) Erez Wiener, chairman of the Bitanistim organization, presented an optimistic security assessment. According to him, the current security reality is far better than what could have been imagined a year and a half ago. Wiener detailed Israel's situation across various fronts: in the Gaza Strip, he said, 'We are in an excellent security reality... we have Hamas by the throat'; in the north, 'We are in a good security reality in Lebanon, the residents of the north have returned home safely, Hezbollah is beaten and begging for a ceasefire'; in Syria, Israel 'sits on the peak of Mount Hermon and its slopes, protecting our Druze brothers'; and regarding Iran, 'The Iranians have not fired on Israel because we threaten them.' Wiener concluded: 'We are the ones they fear in the neighborhood... The State of Israel, with its new security doctrine, is not the nice one. It is the one that knows how to impose order, attack in all capitals of the Middle East, eliminate all enemy leaders around us, and our hand is still outstretched.'
